Creative facilitator
Libby creates bespoke creative workshops that emphasise personal development. These can revolve around storytelling and creative writing, theatre activities or goal-setting. She uses structured creative activities to unlock participants’ own creativity, allowing for periods of self-reflection and conversation. Participants leave workshops creatively energised, with greater confidence and the motivation to continue their journey independently.
Creative Writing Workshops with George House Trust 2022/23
Libby ran two 4-week programme of workshops with a group of HIV positive women, engaging them creatively through a variety of activities and working towards the celebratory events, ‘Stepping Out’ and ‘Stepping Up’ for an invited audience of friends and family. As part of this they each wrote and performed their own story or poem around their experience with HIV. The priority in these workshops was building the creative and personal confidence of the women, so involved facilitating conversations about challenging subjects as well as setting creative writing tasks for women of varying levels of experience. She also provided support on the day of the events.
“Libby was incredibly professional and compassionate with the women she supported… I received a lot of positive feedback… she increased the confidence of the group and each woman.
I would have no hesitation in working with her again. I can’t recommend her enough!”
“Libby was brilliant: quick to learn new skills in new artforms; insightful and full of ideas on how to achieve our aims… a warm and welcoming host to audiences embarking on an unusual experience.
A pleasure to work with, and highly recommend.”

VR Facilitation with Leo and Hyde 2023
Libby hosted the touring gay VR show Double Life show and facilitated all VR elements for audiences of up to 10 (each of whom got a VR headset to experience various elements of the show). This involved learning how to use and facilitate VR from no prior experience. She also facilitated a VR workshop weekend with LGBTQ+ performers at The Royal Exchange Manchester, and one at St Helen’s Buzz Hub with the Coalition of Disabled People.
